Participants
first develop a stronger understanding of how to influence employee
performance. They then develop
skills in using structured interpersonal communication techniques to help
employees improve their performance.
In addition, they learn the latest information about their role in
complying with employment and labor laws such as FMLA, ADA, sexual harassment, and employment
discrimination. More than 1,500 supervisors from member companies have
completed this highly-rated course.

Who Should Attend
Primary participants are
first line supervisors and managers.
All participants should have people reporting to them. Both administrative and
manufacturing supervisors will benefit from the course. Mid-level managers may wish to
participate in order to brush up on their knowledge and skills or to better
follow up the development of their own supervisors.
Instructional Methods
Course activities include
presentations, videos, group discussions, and many skill practices.
Participants will learn the techniques, see how to use them, and then put
them into practice.
